Global Container Terminals Selects NOW Solutions
As its Fleet Management and EPS Provider

To be used in major NJ terminal expansion

Santa Clara, CA - 10 September 2012-- NOW Solutions, the leading provider of Equipment Positioning and Fleet Management Systems, today announced that Global Container Terminals (GCT) has selected the NOW Solutions product suite for the Bayonne, NJ ocean terminal expansion and automation project.

NOW Solutions will be a critical provider for this 43-acre development, which represents an estimated US$300 million investment in the Port of NY/NJ. The GCT project will place the region at the forefront of the container shipping industry and generate numerous US industrial jobs.

The modernized GCT facility will be operational in 2014 and is designed to handle the largest container vessels at greater throughput density per acre. Utilizing the NOW Terminal Server, NOW Explorer, and GEN4E products for manned container handling equipment, GCT will increase terminal productivity and reduce operating costs.

NOW Solutions will install complete vehicle packages on all RTG, Top Picks, Side Picks, Reach Stackers, Yard Tractors, Quay Cranes, and Shuttle Trucks, providing complete visibility of terminal operations and the highest levels of control and process automation available today.

Each vehicle package is a complete system that provides positioning, automated inventory, automated container hand-offs, equipment and personnel safety layers, and driver's assist, without the need for third-party hardware, displays or user interfaces.

According to Rich Ceci, Global's Vice President, IT, and expansion Project Manager: "The NOW offering will ensure that our customers and their customers will have the leading equipment management system for dependability and speed for all vehicles on the expanded facility." He added: "When we open for business in less than two years, we can guarantee the newest generation of services, and that investment demands the integrity provided by the NOW products."

"NOW Solutions also has a long and proven record of integration with various leading terminal operating systems and significant success in the first automated container terminal in the US, "said Ali Bologlu, founder and Managing Director of NOW Solutions. "We are please to be working with GCT to achieve the expeditious completion of what will be the most advanced terminal in the Port of NY/NJ."
